I’ve been there and I know exactly what you’re going through.
I’m Nuku, founder and photographer of Nuku Vang Photography.
In 2021, in the midst of Covid-19, I married the love of my life. I’m sure you can imagine how challenging it was to find a photographer at a time where strict distancing was mandated and masks were required.
Add that to my now husband and I being introverts who are nothing short of awkward in front of the camera (it’s easier being behind-the-scenes for sure), and you’ve got a mix of nerves and laughter as we tried to pose naturally—it just wasn’t us. And our incredible photographer can attest to that.
We were strapped tight on time and there’s so many things I would’ve done differently
There’s this thing with the wedding industry where the belief is that if you’re not constantly on the go-go-go, your not socializing enough, thanking everyone enough, and being present enough.
I remember my husband had to sneak off to use the bathroom and people were still knocking on his door telling him to come out because certain guests had just arrived.
And I definitely remember wishing my husband was eating next to me—I kid you not, we ate at separate times because we were pressed on time. It’s like we had to be at two places at once just so we could get through everything.
Bullshit. You heard me, I said bull-shit.
Any “How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days” fans in here?
Thankfully, this experience brought in unexpected positives. The secret I uncovered was, we needed to let our connection take centerstage. We wanted to be next to each other, we wanted alone time (and we wanted bathroom breaks!) but were swayed by societal pressures.
From that day forward, and because I can help it, I’ve vowed to give all my clients a day to slow down and just be.

That’s why I’m here! I have lots of resources to help you get started. You only need to know the date and general location. The rest, we can tackle together.
What is the cut off guest count for “small weddings”?
For the weddings I specialize in, I define small, intimate weddings as 25 people or fewer, not including myself or other vendors present.
Do you offer photo editing and retouching services?
Yes, all packages include professional editing and retouching to ensure your photos look their best. I also recommend advanced retouching services upon request.
How do I book a call?
You can book a call by contacting me through the website’s contact form. I’ll guide you through the process and help you choose the best package for your needs.
How long does it take to receive the photos?
You will receive a sneak peek gallery within 7 days. The turnaround time for receiving your full gallery is typically 6-8 weeks, depending on the scope of the project. I ensure each image is carefully edited to meet our high standards.
When would we need a wedding planner?
If you are imagining hiring a lot of vendors and have a micro wedding guest count at the higher end, I would recommend involving a wedding planner.
